I got a feeling he suffered some kind of flight control system error. I know the f117s had some sort of issue early on where the elevators would automatically try to force the nose down anytime the aircraft exceeded like 15 degrees of attack angle, problem was it kicked in during takeoff and slammed the plane into the ground as soon as the pilot tried to rotate the nose up from the runway. I wonder if this is something similar.
